The batteries will provide 20 miles of motoring daily. Pure electric and zero fuel consumption.
The solar panels will produce up to 14kW of power daily. This means the GN40 can cruise at 5 knots for an extra 2 hours. The generator is also available for recharging the batteries. It can also propel the electric motors via the service batteries.
